The next step is to ensure that the Check Engine Light does not come on. Locate the harness for the EGR Temp Sensor. It can be found a few inches above the back side of the throttle body (circled in green). Disconnect the harness, and insert the resistor into the bottom half, which is the half that is wired into the ECU.

The EGR solenoid is an electronic vacuum valve that distributes engine vacuum to the EGR valve. It lets exhaust gases enter the intake manifold by opening a passage when the car computer prompts it. This solenoid lowers the combustion temperature, preventing heat damage to the engine block, head gasket , cylinder, and pistons .

6.0 White Smoke. I have a 2004 F250 6.0 that is blowing what appears to be white steam, or smoke it hard to tell the difference. The truck just started doing this today. I had a similar problem about a month ago where the truck was blowing white smoke and had no power, it still ran at idle but had no power. I pulled and cleaned the stuck EGR
cerberusiam. There is no EGR pieces to take off an 06. The EGR is an in-cylinder solution that is achived with valve timing, injection timing, turbo, and injection event control. Major dollars to make a difference. Better results can be achived by using a different cam, a programmer to adjust timing, and a different turbo.
Jul 29, 2020. #6. the egr delete cable connects into the air temp sensor and makes the ecu think its at -40c. ecu is programmed to keep egr off when its that cold. however there may be other functions the ecu does because of the air temp. i don't recommend those cables because you don't know what other functions are effected.
Nope! Not with just the DPF delete. Thats a pretty high price to pay for a little braggin rights I don't know how good or bad this engine will be. But my past experience with the 7.3 and 6.0 engines convinced me that the 100,000 mile warranty was worth quite a bit. Most of my service work was in the 80,000 to 100,000 mile time period.
