692 posts · Joined 2013. #3 · Jun 18, 2017. My daughter's Picanto air-con stopped working. We had it re-gassed which got it working again but it only lasted a couple of days before it stopped again. When it was re-gassed it included a fluorescent dye which would show up any leaks in the system, which it did. It turned out to be a tiny hole in Disconnect the vehicle battery and remove the steering column upper and lower shrouds. Disconnect the harness multi-plug from the ignition switch. Insert the key into the ignition switch, turn to ACC position (see Fig 2.1), then simultaneously press and hold the ignition switch locking pin (see Fig 2.2) and pull out the ignition switch barrel You can check the condenser's state of repair. It sits between the radiator and front grille. Look at the bottom especially to see if it's sagging and corroded. There may even be bits of the cooling fins coming loose.
